Do hourplace.co.kr and hourplace.co share accounts?

No. hourplace.co.kr (Korean) and hourplace.co (Global) are separate services with independent accounts. You can create an account on each site using the same email, but your bookings, messages, and reviews won't be shared between them.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a reset link that's valid for 30 minutes. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us.

I signed up with Google/Apple. How do I log in?

Accepted Answer

Tap "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" on the login screen. Each account can only be used with the sign-up method you originally chose — social accounts can't switch to email/password login, and vice versa.

Why didn't I receive my verification code?

Accepted Answer

Verification codes expire after 3 minutes. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder. You can request a new code after 1 minute. After 5 failed attempts, you'll need to request a new code.

Can I change my email address?

Email changes aren't supported at this time. If you need to use a different email, you can delete your current account and create a new one. Please note that your booking history and reviews won't transfer.

What are the password requirements?

Passwords must be 8–20 characters and include both letters and numbers.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile > Account > Delete account. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. All your data, including bookings and messages, will be removed.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa and Mastercard through NicePay. All payments are processed in Korean won (KRW).

Why is the price shown in Korean won?

hourplace.co lists and charges every price in Korean won (KRW). Your card issuer converts the KRW amount to your home currency at its own rate, so the exact amount on your statement may differ slightly.

How long does it take for a booking to be confirmed?

It depends on the booking type. Instant book reservations are confirmed immediately. For Request to book, hosts have 24 hours to respond. If the host doesn't respond within 24 hours, your booking is automatically cancelled and fully refunded.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. If you cancel 4 or more days before your booking (KST), you'll receive a full refund. Within 3 days of your booking (up to and including the shoot day), the booking can no longer be canceled. Two exceptions: bookings made within the last 2 hours (except when the shoot is today), and bookings still awaiting host approval — both can be canceled for a full refund.

What's the exact cancellation deadline?

All deadlines are based on Korea Standard Time (KST): 4 or more days before your shoot → Free cancellation with a full refund. 3 days or less before your shoot (up to and including the shoot day) → The booking can no longer be canceled. Booked within the last 2 hours → You can still cancel for a full refund, even inside the 3-day window. This doesn't apply on the shoot day itself. On the shoot day → The booking can't be canceled. For example, if your shoot is Saturday at 2 PM KST, cancel any time through Tuesday 11:59 PM KST for a full refund. From Wednesday onward, the booking can no longer be canceled.

Can I change the date or time of my booking?

Direct changes aren't supported. To move your booking, cancel the current one and book a new time slot. If you cancel 4 or more days before your shoot (KST), you'll get a full refund and can rebook freely. Within 3 days of your shoot, the booking can no longer be canceled or changed — unless you booked within the last 2 hours and the shoot isn't today.

How long do refunds take?

What if the host cancels my booking?

You'll receive a full refund automatically. We'll send you an email with the cancellation reason and refund details.

Can I book multiple time slots?

Yes, you can book the place in hourly increments. Just select your desired start and end times when you book.

What happens if I'm late to my shoot?

Your booking time includes setup and cleanup. If you're running late, message the host directly on hourplace.co. Please note that booking time can't be extended if another reservation follows yours.

Are place descriptions translated automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Place titles, descriptions, and nearby information are translated into English using AI. The original Korean text is also available — tap "Show original (Korean)" to view it.

How do I message the host in a different language?

Accepted Answer

You can message hosts in English. Your messages are automatically translated to Korean for the host, and their replies are translated back to English for you. No additional action is needed.

When can I write a review?

Once your booking is marked as completed, you have 60 days to leave a review. Go to My bookings, select the completed booking, and tap "Write review." You can give a star rating (1–5), write a comment, and add up to 10 photos. We'll also send you a reminder email after your shoot so you don't forget. Reviews can't be edited after submission, so please take a moment to check before you post.

Can I leave reviews in English?

Yes. Write your review in English — it will be translated for the host automatically. Your review appears in the original English on hourplace.co.

The translation doesn't look right. What can I do?

If you notice a translation error, tap "Report translation" near the translated text. Our team will review it. In the meantime, you can always view the original text.

Why can't I see some Korean studios on hourplace.co?

Only studios that have opted into the Global service appear on hourplace.co. Hosts choose which places to list for international guests. If you're looking for a specific studio you saw elsewhere, feel free to contact us.

Is there a mobile app for hourplace.co?

Not yet. hourplace.co is currently available on mobile web and desktop. A mobile app is under consideration for future release.
